8245 seen at Luzerne Depot on a Metropolitan Philadelphia Railway Association fantrip on December 14 1952.
Rt 55 trolley service ran only during rush hours in the years after World War II and only on the city portion from Broad and Olney to Cheltenham and Old York, and was abandoned on Friday June 27 1952.
This was the only fantrip in 1952, and celebrated the 60th anniversary of electric railway operations in Philadelphia. Car 8245 continued to operate until 1956.
